Hearing that the man was indeed following him, the griffin goes to pick up the pace, hurrying towards the forest. One look back to make sure that he was still following the familiar, he moves at once at a brisk trotting pace into the forest.

Hopefully Mitsuhide can still keep up with the familiar just enough to keep him in view. Only slowing down once he reaches a particular tree, moving to lay down at its feet.
