He's actually seen a magazine that ranked him as Number 1 Sexist Warlordhe beat Nobunaga!, and it didn't even bother him. There are also tons of different versions of him in other media, so it's okay to bring those up. Feel free to have your character compare him to the Mitsuhide they know.
Just don't specifically bring up Ikemen Sengoku and that it's a dating game, since that will be getting into meta territory.

Also, in canon, part of his job was to torture prisoners for information. Both physically and emotionally. I'm fully aware that this is a sensitive/triggering subject and will not bring it up in games unless there is a need to plot-wise, with full warnings in subject lines. If, for some reason, you want your character to deal with this side of him, please PM first so we can work something out.
Description for Heckin' Game!
Mitsuhide is Hell-Raised here, so he's even more of a Kitsune now. For starters, he now has white fox ears instead of human ears, and has three fluffy white fox tails! Why three? It has to do with one of the folk beliefs that kitsune gain a tail every 100 years during their lifetime. But instead of centuries, I'm going by every ten years for Mitsuhide, and since he's not quite 30 in his canon, he only gets three tails. His nails are also more like claws now, long and sharp, but he tries to file them down some so that they don't get in the way too much.

Powers and Abilities: No powers for this guy. In his world humans are just ordinary humans with no superpowers.
Abilities though, he is very skilled at reading people's expressions and body language, to the point that people think he can read their minds. In reality, he's just good a guessing what people are thinking given the information set before him.
He's also an excellent marksman, especially considering that the guns of his type were not well known for their accuracy. He is also a skilled swordsman. Not on the same level as most of the other warlords in his canon but skilled enough that someone like Kenshin would like to cross blades with him.
What Did Your Character Wish For? For the civil wars of Japan to stop so that no more innocent people will be consumed by them.
What Potion Did They Receive? The gold one
Did They Drink It? Yes! He turns into a three-tailed white kitsune
Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most? The two people that come to mind are Masamune and Hideyoshi, both for very different reasons. Masamune is probably the closest person that Mitsuhide has to having a real friend. When there is some downtime it's not unusual to find them hanging out together. Mitsuhide even allowed Masamune to hide his tiger cub in his room for a prank on the Main Character (Mai). Also, Masamune often tries to get Mitsuhide to eat right.
On the other side of the coin is Hideyoshi. Often Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi are butting heads, with Mitsuhide being the one to trigger whatever conflict comes up between the two. Hideyoshi is often his favorite target to tease (after Mai of course). But Mitsuhide never claims to hate Hideyoshi. Instead, he admits that he works from the shadows and does all the dirty work for the Oda Forces just so Hideyoshi and Nobunaga can stay in the light as much as possible.
2. What are they most afraid of? One is to lose someone he cares about due to his position as Nobunaga's left hand. He knows that his position would make anyone he is in a relationship with a target for his enemies. The idea of losing them because of what he does is something he finds hard to bear. As a result, if he does find someone he is interested in, he will hide his feelings from them, and when he does let the truth slip out he will make it sound as if he is joking. Thus protecting them from being a target.
Another fear would be if he were to taste again. Odd, but it has to do with past trauma from when he nearly starved to death in his youth. In order to survive he had to eat things that no human should have to eat, and things that should have killed him. As a result, he's afraid if he were to regain his sense of taste again, he would remember what those things tasted like as well.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically? Mitsuhide is usually very well-guarded so it's hard to find a weakness for him. One weakness though would be anyone he cares about (referring to his greatest fear of losing someone he cares/loves). He can't always be there to protect them and taking them hostage would be one way to bend him to your will. That is if you don't get sloppy and leave an opening for Mitsuhide to rescue his special someone.
Another would be the lack of his sense of taste. Because he can't taste anything it's harder for him to detect any kind of poison in his food. Poisoners wouldn't even have to bother to use poisons that don't have a taste to use on him.
4. What would make them happiest? Mitsuhide always puts his own happiness last. As a result, what truly makes him happy is seeing the peaceful lives of the citizens of Azuchi and the citizen of Fukuchiyama, the castle town that he ruled over. Seeing them prosper lets him know that what he is doing is the right path.
He takes small amusements over true happiness for now. These small amusements pertain to him teasing his fellow warlords, drinking sake, and pulling the occasional prank. The most common prank he pulls is switching Masamune's water for sake just to see the man get drunk after one sip. For whatever reason, he always finds it amusing and believes it's the closest thing he'll let himself to feeling happy. He probably would truly feel happy until Japan is finally at peace.

Pet Person PSL With Leanne!
Mar. 4th, 2023 07:40 pmIt has already been a few weeks since Leanne had brought Mitsuhide home from the rescue. The fox person had settled down fairly quickly, which surprised him a bit. He spent most of his time at the rescue trying to scare off potential adopters, so the fact that he was comfortable with his new mistress was a surprise in and of itself.
Though he kept saying he didn't need much she still kept insisting on buying him things. He now had a full wardrobe full of clothing, several wall hangings in his room, and several books. It was more than he could ever ask for. As a way to pay her back, at least, he would act as a guard-type pet for her even though she never asked him to do such a thing.
Though he could be around her all the time. She had work after all. So there was some time during the day when he was home alone. Like right now. For now, he was lounging on the couch with a book as he waited for Leanne to come home.

Inventory: His katana, tanegashima, armor, extra ammo and gunpowder, also a travel pack that has some medicine and bandages for injuries, a spare change clothes and a disguise as a performer.
Job History:
Oda Nobunaga's Left-hand Man: Being a general for the Oda Forces and leading troops into battle and doing the sneaky underhand stuff for Nobunaga so that Nobu won't get an even worse reputation. Flushes out possible traitors to the Oda. Will also torture prisoners for information.
Spy/Spy Master: Information gathering and infiltration of enemy/possible traitor's territory and ranks. Will most likely do it himself, but he does have trusted vassals that he can send out in his place if he has other duties to uphold. Also requires him to have several other job skills in order to blend in, but acting and pretending to be a traveling performer is usually his go-to skill while on missions.
Master marksman: trains new troops on how to use a tanegashima (Japanese matchlock rifle). Can hit a target a hundred times in a row at the maximum range for the gun of the time.
Suppressions: Hides that he really is really a good person and often sympathizes with the innocent people who are often caught in the crossfire of war. Hides it so well, that even his allies think of him as a cruel unfeeling kitsune. Will even spread rumors about himself in order to get the real bad guys to trust him. He claims that he is content with being seen as a villain, even though his true intentions are far from villainous.
He also suppresses his own personal needs and desires. For example, if there is someone he likes, he finds it better to push them away in order to keep them safe. He'll even go as far as to try and get them to not like him in return.
Greatest Fear: That Japan's civil war era will never end and the country will never know peace. As a result, it will also make the country vulnerable to conquest by foreigners.
Greatest Desire: His biggest desire is for peace. Once Japan has that, then it can stand on its own as a world power.
Greatest Regret: That he didn't sneak out and save more of the innocent women and children during the Siege of Mount Hiei. Even though he did save so many, he was capable of saving more or all the innocents who got caught in the middle of the whole conflict because they were victims of the monks.
He also regrets that the whole incident is what gave Nobunaga the reputation that he has, thus setting back his desire for Japan to finally be a peace.
